This year the MAOCI catalogue appears exclusively as a modern and practical online version for the first time.
This provides new opportunities for you and us. To create an easier and more intuitive handling, the catalogue was designed with helpful interactive elements. So you can go from the table of contents to the desired product segments with just one click. By using the home button at the top of the double page you can return from each page. You can easily scroll back and forth using the arrow buttons and get an overview of the pages using the thumbnail view.
As it is an online version, you can also view the document from different devices regardless the location. No matter whether at your desk via your computer, on your sofa via your tablet, or on the go via your mobile phone – you now get access to the current MAOCI range anytime, anywhere.

Transition from history to modernity
Do you know Gaiwans? The three piece pots are perfect for loose leaf teas and are new in the recent MAOCI catalogue
At first glimpse, it is simply a tea cup with a lid, but at second glimpse it is a transition from history to modernity: Gaiwans stand for traditional tea pleasure in recent days - and made it into the extensive MAOCI range since this year.
Gaiwans were already used in ancient China during tea ceremonies. In the three piece pots, which consist of a saucer, a lid and the cup, you can brew leaf teas, green and white tea, but also Pu Erh and Oolong teas are possible. The tea can be drunk straight from the Gaiwan. However, the prepared tea is often filled int to small bags or drinking bowls.
Serving the tea with a Gaiwan can be tricky. With the left hand, the lid is first placed on the Gaiwan. Then the Gaiwan, including the lid and saucer, is placed on the palm of the right hand. The lid should be now held with the thumb of the right hand in a way that the Gaiwan is not completely closed. The tea now can be poured through the gap between cup and lid and the leaves will be hold back.
Tea prepared with a Gaiwan can be brewed several times - including black tea, which is not possible with the traditional preparation method. On average, three to five brews are possible, with particularly high-quality and precious teas even up to ten. For each brewing the water temperature should be increased and the brewing time is extended.

Watch out - because this year MAOCI follows the traces of light! Where? In the brand new 2023/24 catalogue published today. After last years great success, the current MAOCI catalogue 2023/24 is again published three months earlier than usual. On 250 pages you will find more than 1000 items of cast iron, porcelain, glass and matcha - including more than 100 new products.
The MAOCI creative department, in collaboration with photographer Conny Kurth, once again set new standards for the design and staged the items in an unusual way by using light painting. In front of a black background, various traces of light let the teapots, teacups, matcha bowls, porcelain and glass products shine in an exciting and beautiful way. Photographs were only taken at night with the help of a specially arranged photo studio. This resulted in unique pictures in which - just like with the MAOCI articles - no one exactly resembles the other.
With the new catalogue, MAOCI, as a modern company, is also stressing the desire for sustainability. For the first time, it appears exclusively as an online catalogue. With that MAOCI wants to show its contribution for saving valuable resources. The catalogue can now be viewed not only from different devices, regardless of location. It has also been designed to be interactive for an easier and more intuitive handling.
